Phillips Academy Field Hockey, or PAFH, is recognized as one of the top programs in NEPSAC. With an emphasis on teamwork and togetherness and a motto of “Don’t Settle”, the emphasis is on providing each student-athlete with a positive team experience. The varsity team has appeared in the Class A tournament year after year. PAFH has advanced to the championship game five of the last six years and won four class A titles in that time. In both 2021 and 2018, the team completed undefeated seasons with a combined record of 35-0-1.

“Field hockey is a game that doesn’t lend itself to superstars. You need the entire team to work together.”

Andover’s field hockey program consists of two teams: varsity and junior varsity. The most athletic and skilled players compete at the varsity level, but players of all abilities can find a spot within the program. Players come from all over New England, the country and the world to play for the Big Blue. Both teams play a competitive game schedule, and each team has two coaches. Players will receive a high level of coaching and instruction as all our of field hockey coaches have collegiate playing experience. Andover field hockey program aims to provide a rewarding and enjoyable athletic experience for all of its participants.
