Head Coach
Joe Nugent brings a deep legacy of wrestling excellence to Phillips Andover. An alumnus of Lynnfield High School and Boston College, Coach Nugent has spent years cultivating the sport at every level. Beyond the Andover mats, he serves as the Women’s Director for the Massachusetts Wrestling Association and the Head Coach of the Women’s National Team. His leadership extends to the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, where he serves as President. A dedicated mentor and father, Joe raised five wrestlers, four of whom competed at the collegiate level, and three of whom are Phillips Andover alumni.
