GVS and Pingree battle to 1-1 result
http://www.hudl.com/v/2FupCUThe Andover-Pingree match-up, as always, was a highly anticipated match-up. Fast-paced and physical, both teams fought for control of the ball and the tempo of the game.
Upper Kate McCool scored her first GVS career-goal and struck first on the scoreboard with just four minutes left to play in the first half. The back line with Lulu Rourke, Tori Darling, Lola Ademilola, Emily Kelly, McCool and Marie-Eve Marleau did a great job of keeping at bay a dangerous Pingree front line.
Upper goal-keeper Sofia Traversari-Sotomayor was named Player of the Game with tremendous saves in both halves until finally Pingree found the back of the net on a transition play late in the second half.
Andover is 1-1-1 and hits the road to take on Class B ISL competitor Middlesex School on Wednesday. Thanks to Charlotte Esty, sister of Athalia (and former Pingree superstar), for delicious treats at the end of the game and once again, the Kerrigan family for cold drinks on a beautiful fall day.
