GVS remains unbeaten following 2-0 win on road versus Worcester Academy
Midfielder Anna Hurley blasted a shot from 18 yards out with less than two minutes left in the first half of play to bring the Big Blue into halftime with confidence and energy. The team kept to their game plan in the second half of play - remaining patient and and smart with the ball. That plan paid off as Isobel Glass attacked the box in the final five minutes of play to extend the lead to 2-0. Goalkeeper Emily Hardy '20 earned her third shutout of the year.
Of note is the play of defensive midfielder/center back Emily Kelly '22 who earned big minutes and bigger praise from her teammates/coaches. Hurley was named Player of the Game.
Thank you to Nicola Sommer's family for providing a delicious dinner of sandwiches, fruit and cold drinks for the bus ride home. Thanks to all the parents who made the trip on a Wednesday afternoon! GVS extends its record to 5-0-1.
