Soccer GV vs Groton

Goals by Silveira, Hurley and Glass lead Big Blue to victory in home-opener

Two first half goals by Anna Hurley and Isobel Glass put the Blue ahead but Groton tightened the game early in the second half. Captain Maddy Silveira earned the PK and sealed the victory mid-way through the second half to keep the game out of reach. While Groton scored in the final minutes of play, Andover held on for their first team win of the season. Sofia Travesari Sotomajor '23 earned her first GVS win in net.

Captain Maddy Silveira was named Player of the Game.
