Soccer GJV1 at Loomis

Great Game of Two Quality Teams

After falling behind 1-0, the JV1 team faced challenges as Loomis was awarded a penalty kick. Junior Audrey Baeten-Ruffo came up huge with one of her 13 saves on the day and turned the momentum. Junior Isabel Park scored a beautiful goal right before half time, assisted by upper Hazel Cameron to tie the game. PA went ahead on junior Maddie Shin's finish, assisted by Park, before a beautiful shot by Loomis tied it. It was back and forth all afternoon in CT, but the JV1 team showed heart, resiliency, and grit in holding on for a tough tie. Lower Lily Stephenson had a great second half and junior Cedar Halsey Leckerling was incredible on the back line. The team plays Austin Prep next on Wednesday in a cross-town derby!
