Soccer GJV1 at Exeter

t 1-1

A Solid End to a Solid Season

The A&E game was a fitting way to cap a great season for the JV1 soccer team. The improvement from the first to last game was easily apparent to all, and each player contributed their parts. After falling down 1-0 at half time to an Exeter team that only lost one game all season, the players showed they truly were a second-half team and tied it up on a beautiful goal by Lydia Mechegia assisted by Maris Moody. The defense was stellar thwarting all attempts in the second half. Our goalies, Michela Rowland and Sheila Argueta, combined for 18 saves.

Thank you to our fans who travelled near and far, to our athletic department for all their support, to our managers Amina and Mia, and to Coach Dahm and Coach Engelmayer who were truly the number one fans of this team.
