Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Wins Season Opener
The Big Blue played their first game in nearly two years this Sunday, starting the season off strong with a 18-3 victory over Cushing Academy. The team dominated offensively with Isabela Miller, '21 Tory Rider '22, and Emily Smith '22 each putting up three goals. Gwyn Lapp '22 came away as the leading scorer with four goals, and Isabela Miller led with three assists. Freshman Shea Freda '24 made an amazing Andover Lacrosse debut, finishing the game with 8 draw controls and dominating with her speed and ball movement. Upper Ellie Harrison '22 also stepped up leading the team in ground ball controls The defensive squad was able to limit Cushing’s offense to only three goals, led by goalies Kennedy Everson '21 and Meg Hoffman '23. The team will face off against Deerfield this coming Saturday.
