Keri Lambert
Head Coach
Keri Lambert arrived at Phillips Academy in the Fall of 2020. She teaches history and holds a doctorate in African history from Yale University. Across all courses, her goals are to support students to make sense of perspectives different from their own, challenge students to become critical thinkers and compelling writers, and empower students to realize that they can be active agents in the shaping and making of history. Her personal scholarly goal is to complete and publish her book manuscript tentatively entitled Elastic Allegiances: Producing Rubber and Belonging in Ghana, 1880-2017, which is based on over two years of archival and oral historical research conducted on three continents from 2013 to 2017. An avid athlete, Keri is the Head Coach of the Girls Cross Country team as well as the Director of the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field program here. She ran competitively for twelve seasons as a student at Amherst College, earning All-American honors seven times, and during graduate school, she was a graduate assistant coach for Yale’s Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. In addition to her teaching and coaching roles, Keri is also the lead house counselor in Draper Cottage. To relax, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, cooking with her husband, Matt, and exploring the outdoors with their Labrador retriever, Mackenzie.
