What’s all that bracket?
—you may be wondering. Oh, nothing—just GVB winning their first game of the season!!!
On December 7th, GVB traveled down to Pomfret and played their first game. With only two practices since break under their belt, the girls played amazingly:
Playing an aggressive offense and a strong defense, GVB entered each half with Big Blue energy.
In the first quarter of the game, the team found themselves at the advantage, and by half-time, found themselves maintaining a 10 point lead. In the second half, the girls continued to dominate the court, earning a victorious, final score of 65-49.
Both old and new faces played the court, such as Hannah McGrath ’20, Katherine Marquis ’21, and Kennedy Herndon ’23, and worked together to truly earn this win.
