Wrestling V at Battle of the Bay at Tabor

Andover has two champions at Battle on the Bay tournament

Seven Andover wrestlers travelled to Tabor Academy to compete in the Battle on the Bay tournament against wrestlers from 30 other schools. Colin Nugent '23 had a break-out performance at the tournament; an unseeded Nugent wrestled against the number 1 seed in the first round of the tournament and pinned his Thayer Academy opponent in the first period; he followed up with three more pins, becoming champion at 126 lbs and winning the first high school tournament of his career. Co-captain Eamon Garrity-Rokous '20 also had a strong showing at 170 lbs, defeating all four of his oppponents to place first. Thomas Radzik '20 placed 4th at 285 lbs. Also competing well for Andover were Arnav Bhakta '22, Marisol Nugent '20, Somen Chakrabortti '22, and Riggs McGrath '21.

When we return, Big Blue travels to Belmont Hill on January 8th, and then hosts Choate and Nobles on January 11th.
