Co-captain Colin Nugent leads the way going 2-0 today

Andover went 0-2 today against two tough teams. We opened the day against Belmont Hill. Our efforts were led by co-captain Colin Nugent, who won his match by technical fall 18-2. Adrian Morrison also won his match by decision 7-5. Unforunately those efforts were not enough, and we lost the dual meet 14-63.

In our match against Roxbury Latin, George Ryckman ’24 opened the dual with a 31 second pin. Miles Palmer ’23 won his match 10-5, and Colin Nugent pinned his opponent in 1 minute. We lost the dual 21-57. In an exhibition match, Cheon il Allado ’24 won his exhibition match 5-1, scoring 2 take downs and earning an escape.

Next weekend Andover heads to Exeter for the Seabrook duals, where we will take on league opponents NMH, and New England opponents Avon Old Farms. On Sunday we host our 8th annual girls wrestling tournament.
