Andover drops close dual to Brooks; exciting wins from Nugent '23 and Palmer '23

Andover lost a close dual meet against Brooks School on Saturday, 36-42. Co-captain Colin Nugent ’23 opened the dual with a 26 second pin, but unfortunately Andover lost the next couple of matches. Miles Palmer ’23 launched the team into the lead with a riveting 3rd period pin, but Andover dropped the final 2 bouts, ending with a team score of 36-42. In exhibition matches, the favorite match of the day was a 2nd period pin by Sakina Cotton ’24. Dani Nugent ’25, and Ben Forman ’23 also won exhibition matches on the day.

Andover’s first home meet is this Wednesday against Wilbraham and Monson Academy.
