Co-captain Sage Preston '25 leads Andover to win in girls race, Co-captain Luke Williamson '25 leads Andover to 2nd in boys race
Racing against Belmont Hill, Rivers, and Middlesex on a Friday night under the lights, co-captain Luke Williamson '25 led the Andover boys with a 7th place in a 5k classic race. Sebastian Vermut '27 was second for Andover in 13th place. He was closely followed by Noah Binkowski '26, Adrian Werner '25, and Henry Wall '27. Newcomer Matthew Wei '28 overcame an equipment malfunction on his last lap and newcomer Elliot Chai '28 finished strong in his first classic race as well.

In the girls race, co-captain Sage Preston '25 was involved in a back and forth battle for lead over the first 3 laps. Coming into the 4th lap she put a burst in on the hills and opened up a 10 second advantage. Rivers' top skier battled back, but was unable to catch Preston who took the win and paced Andover to a win in the girls race overall. She was aided by great races from Cora Rogers '27, Hannah Jung '28, and Billie Colmar '27, all of whom had limited previous classic race experience, to bring Andover the win.
