BXC Runs to Big PRs at the Manchester Invitational

PAXC opened their season at the 49th annual Manchester Invitational meet at Derryfield Park in Manchester, NH with really strong racing across the board.

In the first race of BXC's day, Charlie Gillick ('27), Henry Zimmerman ('27), and Emmet McEvilley ('24) took 1-2-3 to set an excellent tone for the meet. In addition to those top three finishers, eighteen other athletes made their PAXC debuts in the JV "C" race. We're looking forward to seeing more from these new runners this fall--and in seasons ahead.

BXC next lined up for the JV "B," race, which featured the largest field of the day. Taking third as a team, the group was paced by Sebastian Lemberger ('25), who finished third overall. Captain Avin Ramratnam ('24) was next in with a big PR, and he was followed closely by a great pack of PAXC runners: Vance Fabrizio ('24), Luke Francis ('25), and Magnus Julin ('25), all of whom put together excellent races to round out BXC's top five.

The boys' Varsity "large school" race featured incredible running up front. Andover's Tam Gavenas ('25) took second behind Exeter's Byron Grevious (PEA '24) with both runners surpassing the previous course record (from 2003). It was truly remarkable running. Next in for Andover was Max Huang ('24) with a huge race, battling up front in a talented field. Luke Williamson ('25) showed how much summer training pays with a big PR as PA's third finisher, and Robert Budzinski ('26) was knocking at the door of sub-17 in an excellent run. Arun Kapoor ('25) also cut significant time from last year in his season debut, and Jakob Kuelps ('25) and Nathan Neu ('26) toughed out crowded conditions to round out PAXC's top seven exceptionally well.
