BXC Takes Two Wins against Choate

BXC traveled to Wallingford on a warm fall day to face the Wild Boars of Choate Rosemary Hall, and after a strong showing throughout the lineup, the Andover boys came away with two wins.

Leading the pack from the gun, Arashi Hunter ('25) raced to a top ten all-time performance on the Choate course, which has been run since 2007, in his season debut for Big Blue. Following Hunter, Luke Williamson ('25) made a big move after the mile mark to secure second place overall. Robert Budzinski ('26) took third and looked strong throughout the trails, fields, and hills of Choate's course. Charlie Gillick ('27) returned to the lineup to take fourth overall, and rounding out Andover's top five, Arun Kapoor ('25) finished fifth overall. Andover Varsity won, 15-46.

On the JV side, Max Langhorst ('25) paced Big Blue, running a 24-second PR in a big race. After Langhorst, Alfonso Gonzalez-Cano ('27), Jack Gonzalez ('27), and Adrian Werner ('25) finished within 20 seconds of each other with good pack running. In an exciting finish, Charlie Domina ('27) and a Choate runner pushed each other to their limits in a brilliant battle to the line. Andover JV won, 15-50.

The Andover boys return to action on 10/11, which is a Friday, when they race St. Paul's, Austin Prep, and NMH at home in Andover.
