Phillips Academy swept in their season opener against B. B. & N.

The Phillips Academy Boys Varsity Tennis team brought the heat on Wednesday afternoon despite the icy weather. Kevin Niu and Avery Zheng started out strong with a 8-1 win in #3 doubles. They were followed by Jacob Pletka and Jeff Shen, who secured the doubles point with an 8-0 win in #2 doubles. Ben Shin and Chase Burke also played a great match in #1 doubles, ending at 8-1.

Singles play started with the same energy, as Shen didn't drop a single game in #2 singles. He was quickly followed by Pletka and Shin, who won 6-2, 6-1 in #3 singles and 6-3, 6-0 in #4 singles, respectively. Burke followed, with a phenomenal 6-3, 6-3 win in #1 singles. Niu and Zheng ended the day, winning their respective matches in #5 and #6 singles.

The team's record is 1-0.
