The Team, Temp, and Trees were on Fire!

The heat was a surprise today, and given the depleted ranks of the team, a 6-1 victory was a bit of a surprise as well. Surrounded by beautiful foliage on Rafferty Field, and playing against a talented Brookwood team, the Big Blue put forth a superior team effort. There were two great goaltending halves from Ned Benner and Carter Havemeyer, and if that wasn’t enough, Ned also had an assist when playing on the field. With only 2 subs, everyone dressed for the game got lots of playing time. Five players scored goals: Vedant Bajaj led off with the opening goal and assisted on the last goal by Dustin Cho. Owen McQuade assisted on the first and scored the second. Ren Oh assisted on the second, scored the third, and added another assist on the fourth. Cyrus Emami scored the fourth and fifth goals. Have you got all that straight? Even the two coaches, both math teachers, had a hard time keeping up with all the action. Let’s just say the team played well and had fun today!
