Beautiful Foliage But A Loss on the Road
The boys’ JV3 team went on their first road trip amidst beautiful foliage and lost to a strong team from Brooks. The field in North Andover borders Lake Cochichewick and the breezes off the water chilled the bench as the sun went down. With 21 players available to play, Andover thought they could outrun the smaller Brooks squad, but Brooks was small in number but not in size. Brooks struck first and had a 2-1 lead at the half. Andover’s lone goal was created when Kwadjo Adjepong ’27 fed Rayyan Siddiq ‘27, who threaded his way through the box to finesse a ball past the keeper. Brooks kept up the pressure in the second half, adding 2 wind-aided goals, and increased the lead to 4-1. With a weekend to recover, the Big Blue will refuel and return to the pitch with a game on Wednesday. The team’s record now stands at 2-1.
