Interscholastic T&F Competition is Back in Action at the Snyder Center

Phillips Academy Track & Field was overjoyed to host its first interscholastic meet since early 2020 on Saturday, December 11th. The team competed against Andover High School, Wilbraham & Monson Academy, Governor's Academy, and Marianapolis Prep.

The boys' squad finished the day with 63 points, earning 2nd place overall. Contributing to the boys' team score were twenty-three team members, including Danny Ferris '22, Kurt Meyer '23, and Tam Gavenas '25, who claimed individual victories in their events (long jump, pole vault, and the two-mile, respectively). Tam Gavenas in particular impressed the crowd by claiming a new 9th grade class record in the 2-mile, which he finished in 9:52.8. Full results will be posted online to Athletic.net in the coming days.

PATF will not compete again until 2022, but team members are already excited for our next chance to host in the New Year.
