Tim Wynter ’14

(The Bahamas) — Competing at the 2016 Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships, Tim Wynter ’14 (USC ’19) established a new Jamaican National record in the 100 Meter Backstroke with a time of 56.15.

With this time, Tim surpassed the 56.26 Olympic “B” qualifying standard. In the next few weeks, FINA, the international organization governing swimming, will identify those swimmers who have met the B standard and who will be able to represent their countries in Rio.
