This past Saturday, girls’ & boys’ lacrosse celebrated wins on their respective home openers! Boys’ varsity lacrosse (pictured, above), coached by James Beaudoin, Jake Montanaro, and Frank Aloi, is off to a 2-0 start after a 12-7 win on the road v. KUA and a 12-9 dub on Saturday on Phelps Stadium. Captain Nick Norris, Brayden Ko, and Luke Honos combined for 12 goals and 13 assists in the team’s first two games.
The girls’ varsity team (pictured, top), coached by Heidi Wall, Taylor Ware, and Caroline Galligan, led a great team effort resulting in a 14-4 home win over New Hampton School. Top goal scorers were Autumn Christian with (2 goals, 3 assists), Maren Boyle (3 goals, 1 assist), Emma Morrison (3 goals), Lola Aguirre, and Sophie Stetson (2 goals apiece). Goalkeeper Maddie Greenwood made 8 saves, and captain Quinna Bell had 8 caused turnovers.
Boys’ Varsity Volleyball and Girls’ Water Polo both hit the road for Saturday double headers - AND both teams brought home two wins apiece. THANK you to volleyball coaches Michael Kennedy and Lorena Corbelli, and water polo coaches Howie Kalter and Jill Meyer.
