CONGRATULATIONS TO PAFH!
With only two weeks remaining in the fall season, our defending Class A champion varsity field hockey team (pictured above), coached by Kate Dolan, Martha Fenton, Taylor Ware, and Jen Weissbach, and captained by Maren Boyle, Hannah Herlihy, and Lucy Parker, remains the only undefeated Big Blue team. PAFH most recently earned a 3-1 victory over previously undefeated Deerfield Academy on Saturday to extend its winning streak to 13 consecutive games. PAFH has outscored their opponents - 82 goals for and only 3 goals against.
Shout out to Girls’ Cross Country on an incredible outing at a multi-team meet versus Exeter, Choate, NMH, and host school Deerfield on Saturday afternoon. Anya Budzinski (pictured) crossed the finish line ahead of all runners, followed by ninth graders Sophie Stetson and Maddie Marshall in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, team win—besting good competition from NMH, Choate, Deerfield, and Exeter. Anya took the individual win in 18:35 an incredible 35-second PR). Collectively, the team shaved off five minutes and 17 seconds fromall previous personal best times. GXC is coached by Patrick Rielly.
GVS secured the on-the-road win versus Deerfield on Saturday thanks to a goal notched by senior co-captain Wylie Roossien (pictured). Upper goalkeeper Adele Russell earned the clean sheet, and fellow 11th grader Maddie Shin was named Player of the Game.
