Five Phillips Academy seniors gathered with their family, friends, teammates, and coaches to celebrate the signing of their NCAA National Letters of Intent (NLI), committing to continue their athletic careers at scholarship granting institutions.

Athletic Director, Lisa Joel and Interim Head of School, Jim Ventre '79 welcomed everyone to the event, and addressed those gathered in the Title IX room of the Snyder Center.

We are pleased to recognize our five seniors signing National Letters of Intent. Of course, no one achieves anything alone and thus, we equally celebrate the parents, grandparents, siblings, coaches, friends and teammates who play important roles in Jacque, Griffin, Dallion, Hunter and Michael’s achievement.

Lisa Joel Director of Athletics

Griffin Green ’20 (Chelmsford, MA) will be playing baseball at Virginia Tech, Jacque Harrington ’20 (Bedford, NH) softball at Providence, Dallion Johnson ’20 (Haverhill, MA), basketball at Penn State, Hunter Lane ’20 (Georgetown, MA), football at Holy Cross, and Michael Tracanna ’20 (Westford, MA), lacrosse at Villanova.

The NCAA Division 1 Ivy League and United States Service Academies do not participate in the NLI program, nor do NCAA Division 3 institutions. The Phillips Academy Athletic Department plans to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of all of our non-NLI student-athletes in the spring.
