GIRLS’ SQUASH, BOYS’ VARSITY AND JV HOOPS & GIRLS’ AND BOYS’ VARSITY SWIMMING REMAIN UNDEFEATED AS WE NEAR THE MID-POINT OF THE WINTER SEASON!
Varsity girls’ squash team, coached by Shaun Duffy, boasts a 4-0 record and has yet to lose a single match this season - going 32-0 versus every opponent to date! In this week’s win over Winsor, Lara Kim, Caroline Zhao, Rachel Levitzky, Robins Lukens, Olivia Wang, Prisha Shivani, and Selene Xu emerged victorious.
Boys’ varsity basketball coached by Terrell Ivory, Dan Schneider, and Malkese Edwards, and JV boys’ basketball, coached by Tom Kane and Andy Finch, have a combined record of 16-0!
Our swimming and diving program is coached by David Fox, Hillary Kavanagh, Belinda Wolf, David Gardner, Catherine Carter, Eliot Davenport, and Maya Darville, and secured wins across all varsity and junior varsity competition to date!
Congrats to girls’ varsity hockey, who also had a 3-win week of ice hockey with big wins over Brooks School on Monday (6-0), Kimball Union on Wednesday (9-0), and then a come-from-behind thriller versus St. Paul’s (4-2). Co-captain Caroline Averill ‘26 scored the 100th point of her Andover career on Saturday. th Shout out to girls’ varsity soccer co-captain Wylie Roossien, who was recognized at the United Soccer Convention in Philadelphia as a high school All-American. Wylie is the 4th girls’ varsity soccer player to be named an All-American in a 25-year period.
Congratulations to the girls’ JV2 squash team, coached by first-year head coach Jessie Robie, whose team earned a 6-1 win earlier this week over the Brookwood School. First wins in their Andover career for Gemmi Haripottawekul, Tati Cepeda, Ellie Patton, and Kaylee Xie.
Good luck to Maggie Averill ‘27, who has led the way for the United States U-18 Women’s Team as team co-captain AND scored two goals in the semi-final game v. Sweden. The US will play Canada for the gold today (Sunday) at 6:30 p.m. on the NHL Network. Go, Maggie! Go, Team USA!
