Congrats to varsity baseball coached by Ben Reinisch, Chris Powers, Jon Morse, and Christ Capano, on a 3-0 week, including a thrilling home double-header on Saturday versus Winchendon - earning a 3-2 dub in the bottom of the 7th in game one (celebration pictured above). In the nightcap, the Big Blue rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win 5-2. A true team effort is applauded with notable play by tri-captains Michael Gilligan, Owen Callahan, and Boone Fahey, as well as Jacob Honor, Matt Ulicny, Grant McCubrey, Caleb Penn, Garrett Falahee, & Owen Prior.

Congrats to girls’ varsity lacrosse, coached by Heidi Wall, Taylor Ware, and Caroline Galligan, and captained by Quiana Bell, on an outstanding 3–0 start to the spring season. Wednesday’s road game at Nobles was one for the ages. Andover secured a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Noble and Greenough - its first win against Nobles in twenty years. Coach Wall shared, “The entire defensive unit - Quiana Bell, Lucy Parker, Lola Aguirre, and Lily Loughlean was clutch in this game, keeping Nobles scoreless for the entire second quarter and to just two goals in the first half. Maddie Greenwood made 13 saves for the win. The final three goals were all assisted: two assists by Autumn Christian led to goals by Charlotte Dorman and Sophie Stetson, and Ashley Dimnaku assisted Autumn Christian for the game-winner.”

Girls’ Varsity Tennis (pictured above), coached by Katy Lambson and captained by Kendra Tomala and Evelyn Kung, opened their season against their top opponent, Groton School, returning home with a 6-3 win. Coach Katy Lambson provided the Wednesday summary on the road: In near-ideal conditions for an early spring season opener, the team came out strong, taking all three doubles games. Mercan Draman '26 and Angelina Zhang '27 also won playing exhibition doubles. Nitya Madduri '28 outlasted her opponent in first singles and won in a third-set tiebreak, while Kendra Tomala '26 held her own despite an injury that limited her to underhand serving. At third, Michelle Oh '29 made a great debut with her 2nd doubles victory and a strong singles performance. Lara Madan ‘26 at 4 singles battled through a close match before falling in a third-set tiebreak. Evelyn Kung '26 (5 singles) and Mercan (6 singles) both helped to clinch the match with decisive singles wins.

Girls’ Water Polo, coached by Howie Kalter and Jill Meyer and captained by Sophia You and Addison Deng, is off to a great 2-0 start, having scored 27 goals and conceded only 5 goals to date. The highlight from the weekend 17-3 win over Williston was Helen McNeily - less than two weeks of water polo experience under her belt - jumped into net for the second half when her teammate was injured. Helen held Williston scoreless - and showed true non-sibi team spirit in stepping up to play in goal.

Boys’ Varsity (pictured below) and JV Volleyball teams - coached by Brendan Mackinson and Lorena Corbelli (varsity) and Michael Kennedy and Marie Collette (JV) - each remain UNDEFEATED.

JV Baseball season opener bounced back after going down 0-6 - falling just short 5-6 with bases loaded after 7 innings. JV baseball is coached by David Hanley and Ed Silvey.
