Boys’ Water Polo (pictured above) traveled to Williston Northampton for a doubleheader and came home with two wins - 18- 8 over Greenwich Country Day and 20-14 over Williston Northampton. Thank you to Dale Hurley, who traveled with the team in support and coached on the pool deck alongside head coach Howie Kalter. Against Greenwich, eight different scorers made the difference: Victor Hillier and Andrew Cai tallied four goals each, and Ryan Loh and Henry Werner each had three goals.
Andover GJV2 soccer (picture, inset) earned their first win of the season, 5-0 over Brooks School. Ninth grader Mia Russell got the team on the scoreboard in the first half, with second-half goals from Annabel Manzo (2 goals), Nadine Carniaux (1 goal), and Riya Shah (1 goal). Assists came from Hannah Chugani, Mai-Khan DoBa, and Nadine Carniaux. Andover keeper Alex Kenly managed to keep Brooks off the board with some excellent saves, including stopping a breakaway. Shout-out to midfielders Eva Guerette, Elly Gibbens, Ella McQuade, Bella Ossa Perez, and Charlotte Trouvé. JV2 soccer is coached by Keith Robinson and Rebecca Webster.
Boys JV1 soccer strung together two big wins this week - 3-2 over St. John’s Prep on Wednesday and then 7- 3 this past Saturday versus Austin Prep. Goal scorers on Wednesday were Dom Pieroni '28 and Sebastian Chen '29 with the game-winner from Diego Jing '29 making it 3-2. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Kai Karson '29 played a great game in goal, and the starting back line of Hollis Strachan '29, Daniel Ko '29 and Peter Pfendler '30 anchored the defense today. In midfield, Nathan Zhang '30, Kayden Robinson '29 and Cadel Shin '30 worked hard. Up top, Jonathan Squitieri '30 put in a great shift. Goal scorers on the day: Owen Price '29 (3 goals), with a tally each from Lane Fender '29, Heitor Mai '29, Kyaden Robinson '29, and Diego Jing '29. Joe Nugent and Ben Duclos coach JV1.
Congrats to varsity and JV field hockey, who remain undefeated into the month of October and had a strong weekend showing versus Tabor with a 6-1 win for PAFH and a 3-1 dub for JV Field Hockey.
