The 8th-seeded Big Blue will play 6th-seeded Exeter for the Class A crown tomorrow, Sunday, March 3, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in Worcester, MA at Clark University.
Both teams played their quarterfinal and semifinal games on the road.
Andover's path to the championship began at #1 Loomis Chaffee last Wednesday, where the Big Blue defeated the host Pelicans, 66-58. Today Andover travelled to #5 Taft where they defeated the Rhinos, 52-50.
Exeter began tournament play at #3 Tabor, winning 93-84, and then traveled to #2 Milton today, beating the defending champions, 61-53.
The two teams met last Saturday in Andover for their annual rivalry clash, "Winter A-E". Andover won the game, the last of the regular season, 64-58. The win moved Andover off the tournament bubble, securing the 8th seed. The last time the two schools met in tournament play was in 2020 at Exeter where the Big Blue came away with a quarterfinal victory.
