The Andover girls' cross country team secured its second-straight New England Prep School Division 1 Championship, claiming the title with a formidable team performance against a highly competitive field at Taft yesterday afternoon.
Pacing the team, Amelia Alvazzi '26 (pictured) executed a brilliant tactical race, advancing steadily through the pack before employing a powerful finishing kick familiar to Andover fans to secure second place overall. She was joined in the top ten by Anya Budzinski '26 and Sophie Stetson '29, who both delivered exceptional performances to place 7th and 9th, respectively.
Corinne Spade '27 also had an outstanding race on the Taft course, finishing strong in 15th. Following closely, Maddie Marshall '29 concluded her phenomenal inaugural season with another determined performance.
In a remarkable demonstration of the team's depth, all five scoring runners—Alvazzi, Budzinski, Stetson, Spade, and Marshall—earned All-New England honors by placing in the top twenty. Hannah Jung '28 and Anya Casey '28 anchored the victory as Andover's sixth and seventh runners, both finishing inside the top 40 amid an exceptionally talented field.
