Andover Wins Close Race Against Strong Exeter Team

The Andover girls welcomed Exeter to the PAXC home course, and as usual, the matchup saw excellent running from both squads. GXC came away with a narrow win on the Varsity while Exeter took the JV race.

Emma Hagstrom ('25) and Storrie Kulynych-Irvin ('24) continued their front-running ways, finishing second and third overall in an extremely close race with Exeter's number one runner. Next in for Andover, Anya Budzinski ('26) registered a PR on the home course in a brilliantly paced performance. Teammate Tara Menon ('26) had a breakthrough race following Budzinski and taking sixth place overall. Getting the call-up to Varsity for the first time this season, Edy Leach ('25) ran to a huge PR in an assured, hard-nosed run.

On the JV side, Andover runners ran to ten PRs. Led by Serafina Shin-Von Nordenflycht ('25) and Caitlyn Chow ('25), the GXC JV squad raced well on the home course. PR performances by Olivia Isacson ('26), Alision Schneider ('26), Lauren Montgomery ('25), Alice Zha ('25), Camille Davis ('27), Minnie Kim ('27), Saya Jameson ('26), and Emma Greenhut ('27) marked wonderful improvement from the whole squad.

Next week, GXC will travel to Loomis Chaffee to compete in the NEPSTA Division I XC Championship (Interschols).
