Andover has a decisive 7-0 win against perennial powerhouse Brunswick
On April 5, 2024 Andover played some exciting tennis matches against Brunswick. For #1 doubles, the dynamic duo Chase Burke and Ben Shin easily defeated the Brunswick duo with a score of 8-1. Jeff Shen and Jacob Pletka secured another victory for Andover, winning 8-4.
The intensity continued in the singles matches. In #3 singles, Shin faced a formidable challenge, demonstrating determination as he battled back from a set down to claim victory in a thrilling tiebreaker. Shen and Pletka both displayed exceptional skill and composure in #2 and #4 singles, respectively, securing wins in their matches. In #1 singles, Burke had a difficult match, dropping the second set but ultimately coming out on top in a dramatic tiebreaker. Kevin Niu had an exciting match #5 singles; he lost his first set and then won his second, finally finishing strong in his tie-breaker. Avery Zheng easily won both his sets 6-0 in #6 singles.
The boys record is now 2-0.
