Andover Softball cruises to win against Deerfield, 15-1

With a 9-run first inning and solid defense and pitching to back it up, the win was never in doubt.
Pitcher Emma Slibeck ’20 had a dominant performance on the mound, throwing a one-hitter against an injury-plagued Deerfield team, while also contributing an RBI. Hannah Cuff ’21 led the offensive charge in a 4-for-5 day, with a double, triple and 3 RBIs. Jacque Harrington ’20 collected 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, and 3 RBIs, while Rachel Moore ’19 added a pair of hits, including a double, and 3 RBIs. Kaitlin Ervin ’20, Jess Blumenthal ’19, and Anna Bargman ’21 also had two hits each, while Cassidy Musco ’19, Gracie Flanagan ’21, and Katie Morris ’21 also tallied hits on the day. Defense was also solid on the day, limiting Deerfield to 3 baserunners in the game.
