GXC Opens Season with Big Races at Manchester Invitational

PAXC opened their season at the 49th annual Manchester Invitational meet at Derryfield Park in Manchester, NH with really strong racing across the board.

In the first GXC race of the day, Aimee Qi ('27) ran away from the field to claim a win in her PAXC debut. After working hard to return from injuries, Serafina Shin-Von Nordenflych ('25) crushed her opening race as the second finisher for Big Blue. Lauren Montgomery ('25) ran strong through the hills and trails to finish next for Andover, and she was followed closely by Alice Zha ('25) and Toni Elliot ('27), who rounded out the top five by running excellently in their first races for GXC.

Next up, the Varsity girls continued the strong GXC performances in the penultimate race of the day. They were led by Storrie Kulynych-Irvin ('24), who worked her way up across the 3.1 miles of the race to take fourth overall. Emma Hagstrom ('25) was next in for GXC and began her season with an outstanding performance to finish just outside the top ten overall. Making their GXC debuts, Anya Budzinski ('26) and Tara Menon ('26) both showed off their strength from solid summer training to take the third and fourth finishing positions for GXC. Chloe Song ('26) and Emily Wu ('25) ran near or below their last season's best times to round out the GXC Varsity group.
