GXC Runs Strong to Second Place Finish at New Englands

GXC traveled to Loomis Chaffee for the NEPSTA Division I Cross Country championship, and after some really strong racing, the Varsity girls took second place in a very competitive field.

Led by Storrie Kulynych-Irvin ('24) and Emma Hagstrom ('25) as they have been all season, GXC took it out with the leaders in the early going and stayed in the front throughout. Both Kulynych-Irvin (4th) and Hagstrom (5th) earned all-New England honors for their efforts, and they were joined in that by their teammates Anya Budzinski (9th) and Tara Menon (13th). Budzinski ('26) and Menon ('26) ran tough as Andover's second pack, fighting for every place for their team. Returning from injury, Chloe Song ('26) PRed in an excellent performance to round out PA's scoring five. Also racing to huge PRs, Edy Leach ('25) and Aimee Qi ('27) held their own in the race and ended their season with an exclamation point.

On the JV side, Caitlyn Chow ('25) and Alison Schneider ('26) raced to PRs to lead the GXC squad. Lily Williamson ('25) ran a season's best time in a gutsy run, and Serafina Shin-Von Nordenflycht ('25) and Emily Wu ('25) delivered hard-nosed performances, battling through setbacks to get over the line with determination and admirable resolve.
