GXC Toughs Out a Win Against Choate
GXC welcomed Choate to the home course, and a strong team effort led to a win against the Wild Boars.
Up front for Andover, Anya Budzinski ('26) continued her steady running this season with an excellent, assured performance to take the win for Andover. Next in, Tara Menon ('26) overcame a lingering cold to run to an amazing time in her first race on the home course to take second overall. Chloe Song ('26) raced to a PR to finish fourth overall, third for PA, and first-year standout Aimee Qi ('27) continued her competitive racing with a new PR and a ninth-place finish. Edy Leach ('25), in her season debut, was Andover's fifth in a tight meet, and it was great to have her in the mix in the first home meet. Another debut runner, Caitlyn Chow ('25) showed some excellent potential while Emily Wu ('25) lowered her home course PR as Andover's seventh finisher.
Out of the 23 runners, 13 were making their PAXC home course debuts, and we saw some great runs from those athletes that bode well for future meets.
Next Saturday, GXC will travel to St. Paul's School to race on their beautiful home course.
