Strong Showing at NMH

Andover Girls Cross Country had another strong showing at the NMH Invitational! Phillips Academy placed 2nd overall in both the Varsity and JV races (which were combined into one for this invitational). Charlotte Whitehurst '22 had another strong performance up front, claiming 2nd overall, followed by Tiffany Tang '22 (3rd place), Patricia Tran '22 (8th), Caroline Empey '22 (10th), and Izzy Alvarez Martinez '23 (12th). Claire de Saint-Phalle '22 and Maya Tang '23 rounded out our Varsity seven.

Saturday was also a day of firsts for PAGXC! Had the races been separated, our very own Naima Reid '25 would have placed 1st overall in the JV race (based on combined race results) in her very first high school cross country competition! Emma Hagstrom '25 would have cracked the top 10 (6th), with classmate Edy Leach '25 also running in an Andover singlet for the first time ever. It was an idyllic early Fall day for Giselle Mollod-Jones '22, Abbie Cheng '23, and Emily Turnbull '24 to race their very first 5k-- particularly impressive on the NMH course, which bodes steep rolling hills across tough terrain.

PAGXC can't wait for their home opener next Saturday versus Choate. The Girls race will take place at 2pm, with the Boys race to follow at 2:30pm.
