Hard-fought Victory!

ANDOVER 3 - CHOATE 1 (25 - 20, 25 - 22, 19 - 25, 25 - 20)

A gutsy home win today against a tough opponent in Choate. After winning the first two sets, we were slow out of the gates in the third, giving up a big lead that we couldn't recover from. We chipped away, though, and gained a bit of momentum late in the third set that we carried into the decisive fourth game.

Throughout the match, we needed to make adjustments at the net in an attempt to neutralize some Choate's strong hitters, and work hard in the back row to dig tough serves and spikes. When we got good passes, we were able to take advantage, with strong setting and aggressive attacks.

We return to action on Wednesday when we host Austin Prep at 3:30.
