PATF girls win big in final tune-up before INTERCHOLS
The depth of the PATF girls team was on full display in a five-team meet with visitors Concord Academy, Montrose, Cushing Academy and Cambridge School of Weston on Wednesday. There was a light rain for much of the meet, creating conditions that made it unsafe to contest the pole vault and javelin.
Big Blue runners took the top four spots in the 400m, with Eden Dunleavy '29 leading the way (58.14); Ela Budzinski '28 (58.60), Lauren Signoriello '27 (59.84) and Sienna DeAngelis '27 (1:01.45 personal best) finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Andover went 1-2-3 in the 3000m thanks to Amelia Alvazzi '26 (10:14.50), Anya Budzinski '26 (10:34.55 personal best) and Corinne Spade '27 (10:40.36 personal best), and had top 2 finishes in both the 100m and 200m.
In the 100, Christie Appau '27 and Veronica Lewis '27 each ran to new personal bests (13.73 and 13.75, respectively), and Julie Chan '27 (26.28) and Michelle Onyeka (26.30) finished ahead of the pack in the 200.
Other individual winners were: Murathime Daisley '26 in the 800m (2:24.37), Gracie Aziabor '26 in shot put (29'6), Kai Mafunga in discus (87'2), Sienna DeAngelis in high jump (4'6), and Caitlin Ly '27 in long jump (17'5 personal best).
The 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams were also victorious.
