GVS brings home 2-0 win on the road v. Tabor
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Andover traveled to Tabor Academy for a mid-day match. The first half of play saw a number of scoring opportunities turned away by a talented Tabor goalkeeper - and a near Tabor goal halted by PA goalkeeper Deli Russell. The teams entered the half knotted at 1-1.
The Big Blue reset in the second half of play and at the mid-point, co-captain Wylie Roossien broke through the back to push Andover ahead 1-0. Another big save by Deli Russell in the second half and a second goal by Wylie with five minutes remaining secured the win. Deli was named Player of the Game. GVS extended its record to 4-2 and prepares for a big week with three home games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Shout out to our defensive line of Nina Oswanksi, co-captain Emily Decker Keaghan Murphy, Lily Loughlean and Mura Daisley who led the way to the team's second shutout of the season.
