Soccer GV at Rivers

GVS comes up short in final seconds of play

GVS went into halftime on the road down 1-0 against Class B rival Rivers School. While the Big Blue created numerous final third chances, the Rivers GK came up with 10 saves on the day. In the final ten minutes of play, captain Emily Mara found Wylie Roossien to tie the game, 1-1.

With no time remaining, a penalty kick was awarded to Rivers who converted for the win. The Big Blue will look to rebound in their first home game on Wednesday versus Middlesex.
