Mara and Roossien lead a great team effort with Hat Tricks

GVS had a strong showing on the road, coming home with a 6-1 win over NMH and extending their record to 8-3-2.

While Andover controlled the run of play for much of the first half, a strong NMH keeper conceded only one goal in spite of eleven shots, including numerous breakaways. Andover jumped on the board five minutes in on a quick restart with a ball from Lily Keim on the throw to senior captain Emily Mara who finished in the box.

In the second half of play, Andover found its rhythm - moving the ball more effectively with great finishes from both Wylie Roossien and Mara - each earning a hat trick.

Adele Russell earned her first start in goal with some great saves early on in the first. Deli earned the Player of the Game honors. This was a true team effort with all available players getting quality minutes.

Thanks to our families who travelled to Western MA on a beautiful day and thanks to host NMH for welcoming us - including with the Gatorade Promo tent.
