GVS brings home a win on the road at Middlesex

GVS extended their record to 3-0 with a strong showing on the road against Class B opponent, Middlesex School. The team jumped onto the score board in the first minutes of play as senior Mura Daisley found striker Sarah Powers on the far post for Powers' first of two goals on the day. Ten minutes later, captain Wylie Roossien notched her first of two goals as well on an assist from sophomore back, Nina Oswanski. A highlight of the first half was ninth grader Emma Sharon scoring a beautiful goal on an assist from captain Roossien - marking Emma Sharon's first (of many to come) goal of her GVS career.

In the second half of play, midfielder Ashley Dimnaku notched her first goal of the GVS season on an assist from senior midfielder Lola Aguirre. Goalkeeper Deli Russell earned the shutout in net with one save and back Lily Loughlean '27 earned Player of the Day for her strong, steady play across the day.

Thank you to our family members who traveled mid-week to see us play and for the incredible treats at game's end. We are excited for our next match-up against perennial Class A power, Loomis Chaffee at home on Saturday.
