GVS falls in 3-2 heartbreaker on road v Choate
GVS played an incredible team game on Saturday afternoon but fell short in the final minute of play to a talented Choate squad.
Choate found their way onto the scoreboard early in the first half. The Big Blue kept the offensive pressure on with Wylie Roossien breaking through the back line for a fantastic finish to send the game into the half knotted, 1-1.
In the final 40, Choate pushed ahead once again on a PK finish. Once again, GVS doubled down on their offensive pressure and with 27-minutes remaining in the game, 9th grade sensation Ashley Dimnaku found the back of the net on a corner kick served by Lily Keim to even the score.
While both team had good chances throughout the game, it was Choate who had the final say with a blast from just outside the 18.
Andover's record stands at 5-3-1 with two home games in the week ahead. Wylie Roossien was named Player of the Game.
