GVS wins on road behind five unanswered goals in 2nd half
GVS traveled to Brooks School and came home with a 6-2 dub on the road extending their record to 5-4.
Midfielder Hayden Fischer put the Big Blue on the scoreboard first mid-way through the first half on a great run into the box and a smart ball by captain Emily Mara. Brooks responded 10 minutes later to bring the teams to the half knotted at 1-1.
Brooks jumped out to an early 2-1 lead in the first two minutes of play into the second half. Andover responded with five unanswered goals in the final 35 minutes of play. Fischer knotted the game at the 35 minute mark. Player of the Game Emily Mara was involved in the final four goals at the 14 minute mark, 12 minute mark, 8 minute mark and finally, the 2 minute mark, scoring two goals and two assists. Wylie Roossien '26 rounded out the scoring with two goals.
Next up - Andover hits the road to St. Paul's on Saturday.
