Bourassa, Sommers, Hurley and DiBenedetto each notch a goal in 4-2 win v. Brooks

As always, the match-up between Andover and Brooks was a highly competitive, back-and-forth game. Andover struck first in the first three minutes of play as captain Maddy Silveira found outside back Madison Bourassa '20 on the weak side for her first tally of the 2019 season. Brooks knotted the game mid-way through the first half on an upper 90 free kick struck by senior Kelsey Moody. Brooks pulled ahead in the final ten minutes of the first half. GVS countered with two minutes left as Nicola Sommers '20 hit a beautiful shot on a pass from Isobel Glass on the top of the 18.

The second half of play saw more great soccer by both teams. With twenty minutes left to play, junior Anna Hurley attacked into the box and earned a PK. The score stretched to 3-2. Senior Isabella DiBenedetto extended the lead to 4-2 in the final five minutes with a beautiful bended free kick from 25 yards out.

Senior captain Rachel Chang was named Player of the Game. Special thanks to the family of GK Emily Hardy for providing treats for the game and all the fans who came out to support the Andover-Brooks match-up.
