Andover ties Pingree in a very even game

Andover GJV2 soccer traveled to Pingree for their second game of the season and played to a 1-1 tie in a very evenly matched game. Pingree started the game with consistent pressure and scored early in this one to take a 1-0 lead. Michela Rowland did a great job in net to keep Andover in the game early. Andover adjusted in the second half and the offensive pressure from forwards Lydia Mechegia, Nabilah Nazar, Mia Kirdar, and Maggie Bernal was excellent. Mechegia ran down a feed past the defense and scored on a breakaway to tie the game. Andover kept ramping up the pressure, but couldn't connect on another goal while the defense and keeper Maris Moody kept Pingree from scoring with some great plays. Also playing for Andover were Karla Aouga, Sofia Checchi, Ava Chen, Sophia Cratty, Isa Curran, Minh-Khue DoBa, Caleigh Fates, Elise Goncalves, Marcela Hernandez, Chloe Kim, Willa Koziol, Tess Lagerquist, Isabell Luo, Josie O'Rourke, and Adele Tissier.

Andover plays again on Friday against Brooks at home.
