Andover posts strong third place finish after amazing season 47.

The 47th season of Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving wrapped up their year in amazing fashion at the New England Prep School Swimming and Diving Championships last Wednesday at Deerfield (Diving) and this past weekend at The Hotchkiss School (swimming).

The times and scores listed below show only a part of what our team accomplished this season. We finished with the 3rd highest point total out of 12 teams. We lost only one league meet (Suffield) and had a truly amazing season capped by a 4th place finish at Easterns and a sixth straight win over Exeter (9 of the last 10 years). This team worked incredibly hard each day – aiming for the team to do its best during each competition along the way.

1. Greenwich Academy (377); 2. Suffield (322); 3. Andover (283.5); 4. Choate (198); 5. Loomis (165); 6. Hotchkiss (161); 7. Deerfield (152); 8. Exeter (151)

We wish seniors Claire Davis, Grace Hitchcock, and Jackie Rossi the very best in college next year. We will miss their steady leadership through many ups and downs – but mostly we will miss their care of their younger swimming and diving teammates.

Next year looks amazing as the base of this team will move onward and upward – and as we will welcome new students who are admitted this week!

We continue our tradition of FUN#1. We are stronger together and we saw that in full view in the past few weeks. We have our parents to thank for always cheering and supplying much needed snacks and love from near and far!
