7th Inning Grand Slam Lifts Andover to Victory
After Andover jumped out to an 8-0 lead after two innings, Austin Prep battled back. They ended up tying the game at 9 in the 6th inning before Rihana Gomez '26 smashed a grand slam. Ashley Schuman '27 came in for the save, securing the victory. Gomez had 2 home runs and 7 RBI in the contest. Gabby Gillette '28 hit a 2-run home run as part of her 3 hits and 3 RBI, while Audrey Gotha '28 hit a solo home run on a 4-for-5 performance with 2 RBI. Gotha also recorded the win in the circle. Victoria MacKenzie '28 and Gaby Potter '27 had 3 hits apiece, with Maddie Marshall '29 collecting a single and an RBI.
