Andover improves record to 7-1
Andover won it’s first home dual meet of the season 66-18 over Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Andover won the first 5 matches by forfeit, giving us the 30-0 lead. The first match of the day was at 138 lbs, where Reese York ‘26 pinned his opponent in the first period. At 144 Caleb Beroukhim followed up with a pin of his own. At 157 co-captain James Bae won with a quick pin, as did Andretti Candelario ’28 at 165. At 175 lbs Gentry Thatcher ’27 was losing when he came from behind to pin his opponent. Andover lost the next two matches, and at 285 Geza Labancz ’26 won by forfeit. In an exhibition match Narek Hambardzumyan ’26 won by fall.
