Rios '26, Ingram '26, and Rogers '28 go 3-0 on the day

Andover went 2-1 on the road at Exeter today. Big Blue first took on the Big Red. Devin Akyali ’29 opened the dual with a second period tech pin, and Serra Akyali ’28 followed up with an 11-4 decision. Julian Rios ’26, Brady Haskell ’28, Narek Hambardzumyan ’26, Caleb Beroukhim ’27, Cindy Zhou ’27, and James Bae ’26 all added pins of their own. At 175 Andretti Calendario ’28 won an exciting 4-1 decision in overtime. Shock Ingram ’26 won by quick pin, and Oliver Rogers ’28 won with a second period pin, securing the dual meet win 60-18. In exhibition matches, Christian Robinson ’28, Tasha Bohorad ’26, Gentry Thatcher ’27 and Konnor Fortini ‘28 all won by pin.

Andover took on Belmont Hill next. Julian Rios ’26 put the first team points on the board for Andover with a quick eleven second pin. Unfortunately Andover lost the next 8 bouts, until Shock Ingram ’26 pinned his opponent in the third period. Oliver Rogers ’28 also won by fall, but those were the only three matches Andover won, and we lost the dual meet 18-54.

Andover wrestled Brooks in the last dual meet of the day. Andover won many matches by forfeit, and Brady Haskell ’28 won by fall in the first period. Gentry Thatcher ’27 won an exciting 15-4 decision, and Shock Ingram ’26 won a close 4-3 decision, to secure the dual meet win 61-17.

Andover’s season record is now 12-3.
